On April 29, 2008, the BookWise Founders announced the launch of BookWise 2.0 June 2, 2008
As you may know from this blog and from around the internet, I have been involved with BookWise from its early inception and have been fortunate to have achieved top ranking in the company - having been fortunate enough to be the top sponsor this year and have had the chance to earn the London incentive trip from the company. Bottom line? I and my team have done pretty well in Bookwise.
By now the news has spread about the massive change to the program where BookWise has gone from a “network marketing mode” to a new “affiliate marketing” model. This has created a lot of confusion with some folks and to help clear things up, I wanted to post the information I got from BookWise corporate communications and I wanted to pass this on to you.

What is WiseStart?
WiseStart is a starter package for new BookWise Affiliates. It will include audio and video CDs and DVDs in the areas of Wealth, Wisdom and Success. The price is $399.95 and includes the first month membership fee of a Business Builder level.

What is the Legacy Library Collection?
The BookWise Legacy Library Collection are beautifully bound books with Genuine Leather, embossed with 24 kt. gold, printed on acid free paper and come with hubbed spines. These are the books designers and collectors prize. Books of such high caliber, sell in the market place at a wholesale value of anywhere between $75-$150. As a BookWise Affiliate or Preferred Customer, you can own these collector’s editions for only $49.95 a month. The first book to premiere in June is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and “Acres of Diamonds”, by Russell H. Conwell. two of the most important money books ever printed and only available in this omnibus edition through BookWise.
With your monthly membership in BookWise you can begin to build your library in three categories: Wealth, the greatest financial books of all time; Classics of Literature, the greatest classics ever written; and Success, the greatest success books from the greatest authors. These are books that everyone should read, every family should teach and every home should own and pass down!
What types of books will be included?
There will be three types of books that fit in the genres Wisdom, Wealth, and Success.
Website Downtime
In order to facilitate these changes from May 23 at 5:00 PM MDT until June 2 at 12:00 PM MDT, the virtual office, account information and the bookstore/catalog will not be available.
How will my membership transfer to the new plan?
All current Associates will transfer to Affiliates or $49.95 a month. If you would like to upgrade to a Business Builder, you will need to actively change your membership. More information to follow.
Do I have to place a qualifying order in May?
Yes, if you want to receive commissions for May.
What happens to my commission in May?
Commissions for the May qualification period will be paid using the current compensation plan. Commissions will pay out as normal on June 20, 2008. However, any adjustments must be communicated to Customer Service by 5:00 pm on May 23, 2008. After the BookWise system are offline during the change over, no additional changes can made.
If I have a team member who is terminated in my tree, what happens to their enrollees?
Their enrollees roll up to the next active Affiliate.
If I have a team member who is suspended in my tree, what happens to their enrollees?
Their enrollees stay in place.
What happens to our current replicated sites/bookstores?
Current BookWise replicated sites will go away. If you want a BookWise website, you can purchase GoBookWise for $9.95 a month. There will be a 30 day trial for all current and new Affiliates. More details on GoBookWise will be released next week.
What happens to my Preferred Customers?
Preferred Customers maintain their status under the new organization. They remain on your first level and have the opportunity to purchase the Legacy Library Collection monthly for $49.95 per book. If they enroll in autoship, Preferred Customers are eligible for free shipping.
Will there be any changes to the current benefits during May?
All BookWise benefits remain the same during May, with the exception of the PresidentWise call on Saturday mornings. Effective, May 1, 2008, the PresidentWise call is cancelled. Leadership and business building training will resume in June with the Wisdom and Success calls.
